With Bimatoprost (Latisse) treatment, you can expect gradual changes in the length, thickness, and darkness of your eyelashes over time. Here’s a general timeline of what you might experience: 

Weeks 1-2:

You may not notice significant changes during the first couple of weeks

Some users might experience slight itching or redness, which usually resolves on its own

Weeks 4-8: 

Around the one-month mark, you may begin to see subtle improvements in lash length

Your lashes may also appear darker

Weeks 8-16: 

Continued use can lead to more noticeable changes in length and thickness

Your lashes may become darker and more definedIt’s important to continue consistent daily application for optimal results

After 16 Weeks: 

Maximum results are typically seen around 16 weeks of consistent use

If you discontinue use, your eyelashes will gradually return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.

Bimatoprost (Latisse), like any medication, may have potential side effects. It’s essential to be aware of these and contact your healthcare provider if you experience any unusual or severe symptoms. Common side effects of Bimatoprost (Latisse) may include:

Itching or Redness:

Some users may experience itching or redness at the application site. This is often mild and temporary.

Darkening of the Eyelid Skin:

Bimatoprost (Latisse) may cause darkening of the skin on the eyelids, which can be reversible upon discontinuation.

Darkening of Iris:

In rare cases, Bimatoprost (Latisse) may cause increased pigmentation of the iris (colored part of the eye), leading to a gradual change in eye color. This is more common in individuals with hazel or green eyes.

Hair Growth in Unintended Areas:

If the solution comes into contact with other skin areas, there is a potential for increased hair growth in those areas.

It’s worth noting that the overall incidence of serious side effects with Bimatoprost (Latisse) is low when used as directed. 

If you miss a daily application of Bimatoprost (Latisse), do your next application on the next day’s regular schedule.  Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Keep this medication in the original container that you received it in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).
